Google Meet usage metrics are now available in the Gemini reports dashboard.

This update also improves the accuracy of active usage metrics for Google Meet.

Similar to other Google Workspace service pages, your organization’s logo will now appear next to a user’s profile picture in the Gemini app when they are using their business or education account. This helps users differentiate their work/school account experience from personal accounts in the Gemini app. The logo is only visible if an admin has added one, otherwise 'WORK' or 'EDU' will appear. It is only visible to users within your organization and on the web, not on the Gemini mobile app or gemini.google.com on a mobile device.

Gemini in Chrome AI browsing assistant is now generally available for Google Workspace users with access to the Gemini app, allowing them to ask Gemini for answers and insights using the context of up to 10 browser tabs.

Once shared, other users can edit, use, or make a copy of the Gem. Gems sharing is powered by the same technology as Google Drive, offering a familiar interface. Admins can control Gem sharing using a new Admin console setting under Generative AI > Gemini app > Gems, with the feature being ON by default.

Quizzes in the Gemini app are now available to under-18 users.

This update expands the availability of the quiz generation feature in the Gemini app to users under 18 years of age. Previously, users could create quizzes using Canvas in the Gemini app by uploading documents or providing prompts. With this change, students can now create their own quizzes to prepare for exams, and educators can create and share quizzes with their classes. There are no admin controls for Canvas, and the feature is on by default for end users.
