Simplified controls for meeting access in Google Meet are introduced replacing Quick access settings.

We’re introducing simplified controls for meeting access in Google Meet. These will replace the existing Quick access meeting settings and the admin setting to turn Quick access on or off by default will be removed. This update will begin rolling out on July 17, 2023.

Existing spaces organized by conversation topic will be upgraded to the new in-line threaded experience by the end of Q1 2024.

All existing spaces organized by conversation topic will be upgraded to the in-line threaded experience. This upgrade will start in September 2023, and is expected to be completed by the end of Q1 2024. In the meantime, existing legacy threaded spaces will continue to function as is until the upgrade is complete.

Existing Google Chat spaces organized by conversation topic will be upgraded to in-line threading.

Google Chat is upgrading all existing spaces organized by conversation topic to the new in-line threaded experience to provide a consistent user experience and reduce complexity. This migration will begin in September 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of Q1 2024. Messages sent before the upgrade will be retained and arranged chronologically, with separators indicating where new topics began, and new responses will quote the last corresponding message they are replying to.

Google Voice audit logs now include per-call performance data such as Round Trip Time, Packet Loss, and Jitter.

Google Voice is adding detailed per-call performance information to its audit logs, including Round Trip Time, Packet Loss per 1000, and Jitter. This supplementary data is designed to help administrators identify and troubleshoot network issues that may be impacting call quality across their organization.

Specific per-call performance information, including Round Trip Time, Packet Loss per 1000, and Jitter will now be included in Voice audit logs.

In addition to the information already captured in Voice audit logs, such as date, call source and call destination, you’ll see specific per-call performance information, including: Round Trip Time, Packet Loss per 1000, Jitter

Google is updating the functionality for delegated users to manage contact labels on behalf of their delegator directly at contacts.google.com, a feature previously only available in Gmail. The rollout occurs in two phases: starting May 2023, delegators are prompted to review and re-approve existing delegates; beginning July 2023, approved delegates gain the ability to update labels and manage 'Other' contacts. Additionally, Admins can manage these privileges using the Admin SDK API.
