Google Sheets now allows users to record macros in the cloud to automate repetitive tasks without needing to write code. The macro recorder automatically converts actions into Apps Script, which can be edited directly for updates. Because these macros are cloud-based, teams can run them simultaneously without interrupting other collaborators working in the same sheet.

Dial-in phone numbers for Hangouts Meet expanded to six additional countries.

Google has expanded the availability of international Hangouts Meet dial-in phone numbers for G Suite Enterprise domains to six additional markets: Dominican Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, and Luxembourg.

G Suite admins can now create multiple directories with custom visibility rules for different organizational units.

G Suite admins can now cluster users into separate directories with custom visibility rules for each organizational unit (OU). Previously, only one directory per domain was allowed, meaning visibility was all-or-nothing for the entire domain. This update allows for more granular control, such as allowing full-time employees to see a global directory while restricting temporary staff to a limited custom directory.

Call US or Canadian phone numbers for free from Hangouts Meet

G Suite users can now add participants to a Hangouts Meet video call by calling US or Canadian phone numbers for free directly from their web browser. While this feature initially required G Suite admins to enable Google Voice in the Admin console, an update on May 15, 2018, removed this requirement, making the feature accessible to all G Suite domains.

Google Drive updates the Access checker to improve visibility of users needing access, support Team Drive files, and provide intelligent sharing defaults.

Google Drive is updating its Access checker feature to make file sharing more intuitive and secure. The updates include displaying the specific names or email addresses of people who lack access, extending support to files within Team Drives, and changing the default sharing behavior to intelligently suggest sharing with only the necessary recipients rather than simply enabling link sharing. G Suite admins can continue to control the available sharing options for their organization.

This update simplifies the Single Sign-On (SSO) setup process for administrators, allowing users to access these enterprise cloud applications after signing in just once.

Enhanced security and Information Rights Management (IRM) controls for Team Drives.

Google is enhancing Team Drives with new security controls, including Information Rights Management (IRM) to prevent users from printing, downloading, or copying files. Admins will also be able to modify settings to limit file access privileges specifically to Team Drive members or only to users within their domain.

Warning message for iOS users without Meet enabled

Google Meet will now display a warning message to iOS users whose accounts are not Meet-enabled, explaining that they can only join meetings and cannot create them. This message aims to clarify the missing functionality for non-G Suite users or users in organizational units where Meet is disabled, mirroring a message already available on the web.

Google is updating the menus and toolbars in the web versions of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Key changes include moving text formatting to a 'Text' submenu in Docs and Slides, removing the Table menu in Docs and Slides (moving options to Insert and Format), and adding a 'Move' submenu in Slides. Additionally, the Google Docs toolbar now features separate controls for text and highlight colors, and the Insert menu has been reordered across all three editors.

G Suite administrators can control the visibility of this data at the domain or organizational unit level through the Admin console, and individual users can manage their own privacy settings to exclude their viewing data from the dashboard.
